Vetting

Under the advice at the time, the club used to get all its adult members vetted. However in August 2024 the National Vetting Bureau rejected our application to become a Relevant Organization for the purposes of vetting, saying that our coaching of children and other activities were incidental to our activities as a club as described in our application. This means that we are not obliged to and indeed cannot get our members vetted for the club, while any members who teach in schools need to be vetted by the schools. If you are interested you may view the correspondance and legislation below. Their decision was confirmed by phone on two occasions.
