Past Leagues and Cups

Team competitions suitable for adults and strong juniors.
Teams of 5, 6 or 8 players.
Matches from 7:15pm (Div 1 - 3) / 7:30pm (Div 4 - 6) until late. Saturday matches start 2:30pm.
Clocks used. Moves recorded.
Home matches on club nights (Tuesdays), away matches on the away team club night. Some matches on Saturdays for distant clubs.
Leagues from late September until Easter. 11 rounds in most divisions, less in lowest division.
Knockout Cups after that until June. 3-5 rounds.
Selection for teams based on Skerries and ICU ratings, not on age.
Players pay €10 towards the cost of ICU membership, which also entitles individuals to play in ICU run tournaments.
Games in all divisions are rated by the ICU, and in the higher divisions (1-3) also by FIDE. Players get a provisional ICU rating after a few games and a full rating after 20 games.
