Team tournament for adults and strong juniors in Coláiste Éanna, see QMC and NCC details page. For the QMC we need 4 players and 1 sub; for the NCC, 6 and 2. In the QMC we can take a bye on Fri night.

Prizes

SCC Board prize won by Mark Allidine on 4/5 on B2. Trophies for Queen Maeve Cup. Places in European Club Cup for NCC 1st - 3rd placed teams.

Report

Our team did us proud at the weekend in the second tier of the NCC, the Queen Meave Cup. This was a five round team competition which started last year in Sligo where we competed as a joint team with Balbriggan and came 7th out of 10 teams who entered. This year we came 4th out of 18 teams. Thanks to all our players who made our entry possible including John Loughran, Mark Allidine, Paul Ryan, Adam Gicale and Mark Lacey. The last three were playing in their first tournament for some time and Mark Allidine won the SCC board prize as top scorer for the team on 4/5 on board 2! We had some great games and really enjoyed the event where free refreshments were available.
